Podcasting Tips1. Obscure at least 10 (ten) seconds at the beginning and end of each individual track played in a podcast with speech or a station ID.
2. Deliver podcasts only in their entirety, not individual tracks or portions of a podcast.
3. Take all reasonable steps to ensure that individual tracks within a podcast are not capable of being ripped.
4. Insure that metadata, or other information or data transmitted or downloaded by the podcaster, is not used to identify recordings for download from unauthorized databases or sites.
Podcast creators publish sound files online that are then downloaded by interested parties. The technique uses RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, which allows simple forms of content such as blogs to be repetitively syndicated across the Internet and has enabled many people to reach a global audience with self-published radio shows.
